Cementing Chemicals

The primary purpose of well cementing is to bond the casing to the formation and to provide zonal isolation. Well cementing is performed by deploying an engineered cement slurry into the well displacing the drilling fluids present within a drilled well. The cement slurry is pumped to the bottom of the wellbore through the casing, which will eventually be the pipe through which the oil and gas flow to the surface. From there the cement slurry is circulated to the space between the casing and the actual wellbore where it sets. This creates a seal which blocks the outside materials to the wellbore and positions the casing in its place. Oil well cement slurry is significantly different compared to the construction cement, and is engineered with several additives to give the desired properties to the system. ATOMIX supplies several of these additives that could be used in low temperatures to extremely good conditions.
